Terms & Agreement for Composers and Writers with GIp Recordz
- Mechanical Royalties:
– All mechanical royalties generated from songs published by Gip Recordz shall be equally split among the writers involved in the creation of the song. These royalties will be recouped through the respective Performance Rights Organization in compliance with the laws and regulations of the relevant jurisdiction.
- Originality of Work:
– By uploading your creative artistic work to Gip Recordz, you affirm that the material is 100% original. You are required to provide proof of originality through transcripts, files, midi files, software files, or any other relevant documentation.
- In-House Production Team:
– When you submit your material to Gip Recordz, you automatically become part of the in-house production team. Mechanical royalties from the published songs will be divided equally among all the writers involved in the creation, unless a writer requests to waive their share in exchange for an upfront “work for hire fee.” The decision to waive royalties or opt for a work-for-hire arrangement will be made through negotiation between the parties involved.
By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge and accept the outlined conditions for working with Gip Recordz as a composer or writer.
Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Confidential Information: Both parties agree to keep confidential any information shared during collaboration discussions.
- Use Limitation: The shared information will only be used for the purpose of evaluating collaboration opportunities.
- Duration: This agreement remains in effect indefinitely unless otherwise terminated in writing by both parties.
